CDS exam is a highly competitive exam and should be attempted while the student has completed graduation or is in final year. The CDS exam provides entry into all three streams of the defence forces viz Army(Both IMA and OTA), Navy and Airforce. Coaching has become essential for the CDS exam as lakhs of students compete for the entry. Similarly OTA is also very competitive entry in which even women candidates can apply.

The NDA exam is taken on completion or while doing +2.
