Innovative EdTech: Digital Class Honored by iHub
Ahmedabad, Digital Class, an innovative online educational marketplace, has been awarded (Startup Srujan Program) price of 2.5 Lakh INR as part of the esteemed Gujarat Innovation Hub’s (iHub) Startup Srujan program. This is a milestone to Digital Class’s exceptional contribution to the education sector and its dedication to fostering transformative learning experiences.
Digital Class, has a vision to democratize all education community on one platform and operates as a dynamic platform that seamlessly connects education providers, such as course sellers, institutes, training centers, colleges, universities, and schools, with students seeking diverse online and offline admission, courses and services. These services encompass a wide spectrum, including courses, apps, YouTube channels, and other educational resources. Students have the flexibility to browse, compare and buy this offering from the Digital Class, which is accessible through both web and app interfaces. Currently, Digital Class proudly hosts an expansive array of over 5000 education providers who have listed an array of courses, institutions and various services on the platform. The platform’s reach extends further, with a thriving user base of over 100,000 students already benefited from this innovative ecosystem.
The Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub, known as iHub, is at the forefront of nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in the state. Registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013, iHub is committed to fostering a holistic innovation ecosystem. With a focus on sectors including ICT, Health, Cleantech,Ed-Tech, Deeptech, Agritech, Defence, Toy & Gaming, and Biotech, iHub recently awarded totaling INR 7 Crores grant to 150 startups from Gujarat and innovators through the Startup Srujan Seed Support under SSIP 2.0 initiative. It’s noteworthy that 22% of the beneficiaries are women-led startups, showcasing the program’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The distribution ceremony, held at the iHub Campus in Ahmedabad, was graced by the presence of Shri Rushikeshbhai Patel, the Honorable Education Minister of Gujarat. Distinguished figures including Shri Mukesh Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Education Department, Shri Banchhanidhi Pani, IAS, Commissioner Technical Education, and Shri P B Pandya, IAS, Director Higher Education, and Hiranmay Mahanta CEO-ihub also attended the event.
The event marked a significant milestone, as a total of 150 Tech Startups were collectively awarded a substantial prize of Rs. 7 crores. This endeavor amplifies the Gujarat Government’s commitment to fueling innovation and growth within the startup and education sectors, solidifying their role in propelling the state’s progress.
